About

Hi, I’m Brett.

I’m a researcher and behavioral scientist.

I like to design behavioral interventions to answer questions about how people interact with the social world and how people can lead happier, healthier, and more meaningful lives.

Currently, I am the Executive Director of CitizenBe, a non-profit startup that works to create and sustain impactful political participation. I oversee operations and lead a team of behavioral and social scientists. Together, we help groups become more effective at engaging citizens in political actions through evidence-based research and testing. I earned a PhD in social psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as part of the Positive Emotions and Psychophysiology Lab. I earned an MA in psychology from Wake Forest University and a BS in psychology from TCU.
